If you or someone you know is
smoking marijuana, there's a few things you may or may not know. Please read
this with the understanding it doesn't have to be this way.
Smoking this stuff, you run the risk
of becoming hooked. It's a gateway drug. It's the beginning of bigger and more
exotic drugs to come. Isn't this exciting news?
Well, if it is, I have news for you.
The real reason, if you didn't already know it, is people do drugs to change
their state. I have talked to some who do drugs and they are well aware of it,
others aren't.
If you listen to what anyone says
who is on drugs it is almost always the same. They want to feel better. The
world is brighter, they become more creative, things aren't so stressful, it
allows them to be happy, to laugh. They feel more confident, they can express
themselves better. And on and on..
The good news is this. We have a
built in system in our bodies to feel good. And we have choices.
We have the choice to buy drugs and
elude reality, quit on ourselves, or we have the choice to go within and give
ourselves a winning chance.
We can change our state anytime we
choose, and therin lies the point. We must choose. It is really easy to go buy
a bag of weed, but let me tell you, by the time you find a dealer, or call him,
go to the bank for the cash, meet the dealer, go back home, fire it up and
smoke it, sit and wait for the high, you could have already gotten yourself in
natural high and done something productive.
Quit quitting on yourself, man. Life
is only unbearable because you decide it is. I don't care what you are facing,
it is reality and sometimes reality bites. It becomes a choice how you focus on
reality now, and what you are willing to do with it.
Every person on the face of the
planet has had terrible misfortune in one form or another. The difference lies
in two things. How the information is processed and what is done with it.
Don't think I don't understand the
point of desperation one gets to. I have had more 'stuff' in my life then I
care to remember but I will say this, looking back, I have and had so many
wonderful moments, friends I met, experiences, that I didn't see in the moment,
but they are there if you are willing to give yourself a chance.
If you want to change your state
now, begin by changing your physical body. Shake it out. Stand as straight as
an arrow and proclaim you are NOT doing this again!!!
"As long as I am able, I will
be my best self" "I will do whatever it takes to get back on track
give myself the gift of life!"
The best thing about making a
powerful, determined proclamation is, what comes next is easy. The change you
thought would be so hard, which is why you avoided it, isn't.
From this moment on everything falls
into place. Of course you must aid in the process but with this self
determination it becomes a natural state.
The next thing you do is become
grateful. Find those things in your life that are good, great or excellent. We
all have something. It may be parents who are always there for you. Not
everyone has that. It may be friends who make you laugh and have stuck by you.
It may be the wonderful house you live in. Just be grateful because no matter
what, you have the ability to move toward something even better!
The feeling of gratitude is an
overwhelming feeling. I want you to feel it until that is all you feel. Then
anchor it. Give yourself a cue. Whether in this moment you give yourself a hug,
rub two fingers together, whatever it is, when this feeling is anchored you
will be able to get back to this state whenever you choose by firing these
anchors.
That is what I will leave you with
now, get really good at being grateful and you will see major changes in your
state.

These are techniques used in
Hypnosis and probably other therapies as well, however with Hypnosis, being in
a relaxed state, with little or no interference from our conscious mind, we are
able to get to this state much quicker.
